Ross-on-Wye Lions Club
Serving the Ross Community Since 1971
Ross Lions focus on community needs with support for local good causes, activities, groups and individuals.
They also respond to worldwide appeals for humanitarian aid.
The Lions Club Mission
To empower Lions clubs, volunteers, and partners to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian services and grants that impact lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding.
About the Lions
Lions Clubs are a global network of volunteers working together to make a difference.
Lions are ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes throughout the British Isles. Globally we have more volunteers in more places than any other service club organisation, and love to step forward to volunteer, help others and make things happen.
Ross on Wye Lions
The pages on this website will show some of the main projects that have happened recently as well as showcase some of the great tradition that Ross Lions have built up. As a respected part of the Community, people know where to turn if they need help or if they want to be part of that and join the Club.
As volunteers, Ross Lions are people of all ages and backgrounds who join together to help the Community.
Kindness in Action
When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness.
It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.
Social Events
Ross Lions know that we need to work together and also have fun together, so we have regular social events from a formal Dinner and Dance to a very informal meet-up for drinks or coffee.
Every Month
Lions meet regularly to discuss requests for their support. The Club helps a large variety of good causes, such as individuals who need funding for equipment, families in troubled circumstances who need a holiday, groups who work locally and medical charities.
