The Racing Ducks Are Back

The ducks will be gathered down at Ross Rowing Club for the Annual Duck Race at 5.00 o’clock on Sunday 24^th August at the end of the Ross Regatta. Their guardians, Ross on Wye Lions Club, have been training them & checking each duck has their correct race number. Each one is fit, sprucely attired & ready for the race. Each year the ducks are proud that their efforts will give rise to donations to Ross Lions Charity, helping worthy causes within the local community. 

Each duck is sponsored in the race by a £1.00 raffle ticket bought by a member of the public, with a prize each for the lucky sponsors of the first 3 ducks to cross the line of £150, £100 & £50 respectively. 

Raffle tickets for sponsorship of ducks can be purchased from  9^th August  to  23^rd August,  on Thursdays at the Market Hall & Saturdays outside Morrisons Supermarket; & also on Sunday 24^th at Ross Rowing Club. ( If, due to circumstances beyond our control, the race is cancelled there will be a ticket draw for the 1^st , 2^nd  & 3^rd prizes. )
