Ross Lions have helped to fund a canoe suitable for wheelchair users . It was requested by Wyedean Canoe Club so that they could take young people with mobility problems onto the water for canoe sessions. Although the weather wasn’t helpful, it was launched at a Canoe taster session held at the Club’s base at Symonds Yat East..
This canoeing activity is part of the inclusion projects run by Marches Family Network which, as well as running play sessions for children on their own, provides opportunities for families to enjoy fun experiences together.
Members of Ross Lions were pleased to visit the first canoe session of the summer and to see the boat launched and paddled for the first time.
