Ross Lions are pleased to welcome a new member to their Club, Mark Button, who was welcomed by Lion President David Ravenscroft and his sponsor, Andrew Middlecote. Mark lives locally and is keen to do what he can as part of this local community volunteer organisation. Ross Lions are ordinary people from all backgrounds who want to give some of their free time for the benefit of others in the community. Mark first became involved with the Lions as his son joined the teenage version – Leos – in John Kyrle High School. He met with members of the Club, helped at the recent Beer and Cider Festival and found that the Lions have good fun while finding ways to help others in need.
Lions is an International Organisation but is firmly based in the local community. Lions can be men and women over the age of 18 who want to give something back and make a difference. Ross Lions are keen to find more people who want to volunteer, lead projects, are interested in networking and having fun – you can do all of this and more as a Lions club member. As a Lion, you’ll perform local volunteer work to improve your community. If you are interested, get in touch today.
