Art Poster Exhibition at Ross Library

This has to be as good a time as any to think about Peace, Love and Understanding among peoples of the world and this is what Year 8 students of John Kyrle High School excel at every year. The Art Department of the school encourages everyone to take part in a competition, organised by Lions Clubs International and coordinated locally by Ross Lions Club.

The standard of the Art work this year is once again extremely high, indeed the winner in Ross went on to the Finals for GB & Ireland held in Birmingham. An exhibition of many of the posters has been organised at Ross Library by Mr Carroll and this is well worth a visit.

Ross Lions would like to thank Mr Carroll for all he has done to promote this competition and Headteacher Mr Griffiths for his support of Ross Lions Youth projects
Nick Dale, Youth Officer

The Opening Night of the Exhibition was attended by The Mayor of Ross, Colin Gray, Mr Griffiths, Headteacher of JKHS and many parents and friends of the young artists. Winner Caitlin Harrison was presented with the Peace Poster Competition Trophy by Richard Ball, President of Ross Lions.
