Lion’s donation to Children’s Sensory Room

Ross on Wye Lions know that a lot of children from the area benefit from the wonderful care they receive at Hereford County Hospital. The members of the Club like to acknowledge this by making a donation of goods or equipment that can be used by those young patients.

This year Stacey Edwards, who herself has been recognised for her outstanding work in the Children’s Ward, told Ross Lions that there was a need to buy some equipment for the new Sensory Room on the Ward. They room needs good back-out blinds to make the most of the effects of the lights and images.

When representatives visited to see the progress of the Sensory Room, Secretary of Ross Lions, Andrew Middlecote, was pleased to be able to visit the new Sensory Room and be able to tell Stacy that the Club will pay for the blinds, so that the room is well on the way to being finished.

Ross Lions are a Community Volunteer Organisation and they actively help where and when they can. If you know of any ways in which the Lions can make Ross a better place, please let us know.
