All change at the top for Ross on Wye Lions Club

The 1st July is the start of a new year for Lions Clubs around the world. In Ross-on-Wye this meant that Lions said a thank you to Sam Phillips for all his hard work in leading the Club for 2 years and a welcome to new President Sue Wilding. Before passing on his chain, Sam was pleased to present chevrons representing 40 years of Service to Mel, Cyril and Jim.

Sue happens to be the first female President in Ross and in taking over she spoke of the long tradition of service to others that is symbolised by the chain of Office. Ross Lions have selflessly helped the Community and Lions Charities for 43 years and plan to keep going for many more years to come! They will be supporting the Carnival this year with their traditional duck race and stalls which include free games for children.
